You might have already read about some of my very talented friends here, and here but I wanted to share a couple more who have been doing incredible things of late.

Zowie Broach, one of my best friends, has been awarded the 2024 Sir Misha Black award for innovation in design education. The first time a design educator from the fashion industry will be chosen for this award.

Malcolm Garrett, Chairman of the Sir Misha Black Awards Committee, commented: "Zowie Broach’s innovative approach to fashion and education, questioning broader concerns beyond the catwalk, consistently gives a refreshing re-appraisal of fashion practices, and inspires students and industry with an enduring relevance."
I couldn't be prouder of this powerhouse of a woman and remain constantly inspired by her.
Next I want to shout about the wonderfully talented Author, Terry Newman. Terry has recently launched her latest (beautiful) book ‘Marilyn Monroe Style'. In this book Terry looks at Monroe's on-screen glamour and off-screen simplicity.
“She wasn’t just following trends, but defining a look for herself,” says Newman, a senior lecturer at Regent’s University London.
Marilyn Monroe Style celebrates Marilyn’s impact on fashion by revealing the influence of her many iconic looks and I, for one, cannot wait to give it a read.
Enjoy!
